M2A renovated this residence located on a double lot in the Hancock Park section of Los Angeles. Exterior work included the addition of a Spanish style staircase connecting the master suite to the rear courtyard outdoor entertainment area with a re-created Malibu tile jacuzzi cascading into a new pool. Landscaping and a new enclosure wall with view ports of decorative ironwork fences and gates were added along the street allowing glimpses of the landmark's facade while creating a front garden area. Inside mahogany cabinets and commercial appliances were carefully fit into a period tile kitchen with decorative tile ceiling and walls. Upstairs the master suite was reconfigured around a period tile bathroom revising and modifying locations of the tub, shower, and dressing areas while opening this area up to a private study in the tower (a former service area). La Casa De Las Campanas is Los Angeles Cultural Heritage Monument No. 239.
